I am a computer game player from way way back in the day. I lived on the Atari 2600, Commodore 64 and the IBM PC from its infant days. I have been playing games nearly my entire life and had a wonderful library of them. When you have been playing video games as long as I have, you come to appreciate them as a critic. My top 10 favorite games:

  • 1. M.U.L.E. - The most influential multiplayer video game ever.
  • 2. X-Com - A game years ahead of its time.
  • 3. Ultima IV - One of the best designed video game plots of all time.
  • 4. Wasteland - Another wonderfully innovative game.
  • 5. Ultima Underworld - The 3D game that started them all. I bought my first PC just to play this one.
  • 6. Adventure Construction Set - Oh the time I spent on this making adventures, creating worlds...
  • 7. Dragonstomper - Nothing captivated me like this influential game when I was younger
  • 8. EverQuest - After Ultima Online, came the benchmark of all MMORPGs since.
  • 9. The Seven Cities of Gold - a breathtaking romp as a conquistador in the New World
  • 10. Myth - one of the most imaginative and best plotted RTS games around.

M.U.L.E. revamp

edit

My next project is to attempt to make M.U.L.E. a featured article. This would be my first attempt at such a thing.
