What I propose is not a change but an addition to this article. I feel like it should include what some of the ethical dilemmas are. The paragraph would go like this...
Use of stem cells from amniotic fluid overcomes the ethical objections to using human embryos as a source of cells. Roman Catholic teaching forbids the use of embryonic stem cells in experimentation because in the bible a baby is alive as soon as it is conceived[1] and therefore a human being. Aborting a fetus and using it for stem cells would kill the fetus thus violating the sixth law[2] of the ten commandments. However, the Vatican newspaper "Osservatore Romano" called amniotic stem cells "the future of medicine"[3]. This is because removal of amniotic stem cells does not kill the fetus, instead it uses the liquid that is around the fetus[4]. This spares its life and keeps it from being aborted so that stem cells can be used from the dead fetus[5].
