John Arnold was a Methodist circuit rider.
Arnold was a widower when he entered the ministry.[1]
In 1815, Arnold was assigned to the St. Lawrence Circuit, where he worked alongside Israel Chamberlayne.[2] That year, membership in the Methodist church decreased by twelve under their watch.[1]
