The battle of sirte (In arabic: Ma'rakat sirt) took place in April 914 and ended with a decesive victory for abbasid caliphate over the fatimid caliphate. As a result Abbasids invaded fezzan and tripolitania region from ibadi-shia control. it marked the first abbasid victory over fatimids
