I refer to numerous media reports and academic papers to write new articles. In addition, in the Telecommunication field of Korea, which I often deal with on Wikipedia, I try to exclude sources from Western media such as the United States and Europe as much as possible, and the reasons are as follows.
First, Western media often provide groundless inaccurate information without minimal investigation. (This is one of the most important reasons why I work on English Wikipedia, not Korean Wikipedia.)
Second, the U.S. and European media are still ignorant of South Korea, including North Korea. (If you're a journalist, you can get enough information if you sit at your desk and browse Wikipedia for a few minutes.)
However, this should not be taken to mean that I absolutely dislike the sources of Western media. I still focus on making reliable articles by cross-verifying various sources of Korean and Western media.
