Dr. Sonia I. Seneviratne is a professor at the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich. She studies land-climate interactions and extreme weather events. She was lead author on the IPCC Panel focused on "Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation." She has led multiple international climate science research projects.
