At the foot of the Salvator hill in the picturesque scenery of Zwierzyniec is located one of many branches of The Historical Museum of the City of Kraków - The Cross House. At first, a one-storey house untill 1912 after reconstruction a single-story, it was owned by a bricklayer Jan Florczyk and was listed at Zwierzyniec 218. On the 1st flood from July untill end of August 1912 the Ulinowy family was living there. To commemorate this fact, in April 1970 a small exhibition was opened there. "The first apartment of Lenin in Krakow", and in April 1980 the exhibition was enlarged by further rooms.[1]
Since 1993, the building has its headquarters branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow - Dom Zwierzyniecki, organizing historical and artistic exhibitions depicting the profiles of artists associated with Zwierzyniec and the history of the Krakow suburbs.[2]
