Chauhali (Bengali: চৌহালি) is an Upazila of Sirajganj District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, which consists of 4,554 unions. Belkuchi Upazila is on the north of Chauhali Upazila, Bera Upazila of Pabna District and Daulatpur Upazila of Manikganj District, Nagarpur Upazila of Tangail District on the east and Shahjadpur Upazila on the west. The Jamuna River flows over Chauhali Upazila. Due to the breakdown of the Jamuna at different times, the topography of the Upazila often dissolves into the river.[1]
The geographical coordinate of the Chauhali Upazila is 24°01 to 24°17 north latitude and 89°41 to 89°59 east longitude. It is an agricultural area. The cottage industry and many fish carry out jibika. During the British rule , the region played an important role as an economic area. During the East India Company, the English were cultivated by the English. After the independence of Bangladesh, Chowhali was made an upazila in the 5th. As of the census of 29, the total population of the upazila was 1,3,3. Males constitute 5% of the population and females 5%. The average literacy rate of the upazila is 6 percent. Higher educational institutions include Khwaja Yunus Ali University and Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College .

editAs of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Chauhali has a population of 108459. Males constitute 51.37% of the population, and females 48.63%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 52185. Chauhali has an average literacy rate of 23.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2]
