editBorn in Biñan City, Laguna. He was born to a public-school teacher and a businessman. At an early age, Mr. Perez already showed interest in reading informative and history books. His cup of tea includes coaching and playing Scrabble English word games and badminton.
He finished his primary education in Biñan Elementary School in Biñan City, Laguna obtaining honors for academic excellence and being top-notch in literary and other academic competitions. He finished secondary education at the Lake Shore Educational Institution where he excelled in many extra-curricular activities. Graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies at the University of Perpetual Help in Biñan City, Laguna.
Became a teacher at Colegio de San Antonio in Biñan, City, Laguna and at Westfield Science Oriented School and Colleges in BF Resort, Las Piñas City.
Earned masteral units at the Philippine Normal University-Manila that enabled him to be able to teach in prestigious colleges in ñ and Las Piñas City.
A former member of the news team in the radio department of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation in Quezon City. Started as a news writer for the prime-time radio program of Ex-Vice President Noli De Castro, became co-producer for the morning newscast of Ex-Congressman Ted Failon and popularly known as Radyo Patrol #32 in the elite team of radio reporters under DZMM-Manila Radio Department. As broadcast journalist, he had been assigned to cover important national events and professional seminars in Tokyo, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia.
In April, 2012 He went to Shanghai, China and worked as an English Teacher being the only Filipino in the company with faculty members mostly Americans and British. While in China, He became a frequent resource speaker in important events and was invited in Jiao Tong University – one of the top 3 universities in China. This task is no longer new to Professor Willy having done the same thing in prominent universities in Manila to deliver lecture and inspirational speech. Some of the topics that Mr. Perez enjoys to discuss include practicing good study habits, dealing with failure, the power of positivity and those that contribute to one’s professional growth and personality development.
As a professional, Mr. Perez had always been assigned as master of ceremony in the important events of any organization he is connected. He had been awarded as an outstanding professor and received numerous awards as broadcaster and member of the academe given by different prestigious organizations.
Professor Willy is presently teaching Philosophy to the senior high school students of a prestigious school in NCR and serves as the segment producer/researcher for the top-notch radio/TV news program of veteran broadcaster Melo Del Prado of DZBB radio 594 kHz of GMA Kapuso Network. It was Del Prado’s idea to have him dubbed “Professor Willy” on radio having handled an informative program aired nationwide and entitled Professor’s Notebook that caters to the needs of those who long for knowledge especially the students.
