His love and passion for music inspired him to pursue a career in the music industry in 2014 and from then he never looked back. When he started off, he joined a music group (MUSASO) established by his fellow friends in high school in March of 2013. The group consists of three members: Hloni Machepa (Hloni Seasons) and Sabelo Fortune Mhlanga (Reed$), making Xollen the 3rd member. All hailing from the heart of the rising sun province - with each coming from different backgrounds- their combination breathes through a fresh sound in the Hip-Hop scene. After successive years of releasing music back and forth, they were then signed under Telekinesis Studios in 2016 and soon after that they were nominated for the Kasi Hip Hop Awards in Pretoria for New Comers Of The Year, Best Collaboration and Song Of The Year awards and they walked away with the Best Collaboration Award. In the year 2018 they released their first ever body of work, the “2K18 Vision E.P” that went on to do well on every digital music platform with over 30 000 streams on Spotify alone. Soon after finishing high school in 2016, he went on to study Sound Engineering at the South-West Media College in Pretoria to furthermore improve his musical skills and explore his versatility. Each member set out to release individual E.P’s. Xollen released his in August of 2019 (Sounds Of The Heart E.P) that gone on to reach over 60 000 streams on all digital music platforms combined. With a few rotations on the local events scene, MU.SA.SO opened the stage for Lars Behrenroth (Germany), Rocco Rodamaal (France), Glen Lewis, Killer Kau and KLY, to mention a few, at the Ermelo Colour Festival in September of 2019.
