User:XtraJovial/Essays/Do not make articles long for the sake of them being long
This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
You should not lengthen articles for the sake of lengthening them. Length should be merely viewed as a side effect. You should instead focus on... literally anything else. If you're focused on making sure your additions to articles are well-written, comprehensive, well-sourced, and accessible, the article may become longer naturally. If you focus on length and length alone, you'll end up with an article that's bloated beyond belief.
