Askia Muhammad (journalist)
editHello. This article has been merged into to the existing article on Askia Muhammad. If you wish to contribute additional material to an article on this individual, please feel free to do so there. We don't create multiple articles on one individual, and we don't set an individual off by profession unless there is need. If there are no other Askia Muhammads on Wikipedia, there is no reason to "disambiguate" the title. It makes it unnecessarily complicated for our contributors to find the article.
Given your interest in this individual, though, I would ask you to review our conflict of interest and autobiography guidelines. You have added no sources to this article, so we cannot tell if this is personal knowledge, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. All information here must have been previously published in a reliable source in order to meet our verifiability guideline. If you do not cite your sources for this information, it is likely to be removed. Please feel free to add your sources to the article. As I know you have observed, since you copied the sources from the Askia Muhammad article, we prefer inline citation style, as it makes it easier for our readers to trace back and verify the reliability of information. This is important in a resource which anyone can edit.
I have also redirected your userpage to this talk page. As Wikipedia:User Page explains, user pages are to help other contributors collaborate with you in working on this encyclopedia. It is not for hosting copies of articles or extensive personal biographies. Please see Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, social networking or memorial site for more information.
Finally, though you were linked to our "welcome" notice above, I see that you have not officially had our "welcome mat" laid out for you. I've added this to the top of your page. It may provide some valuable information to you about the policies and processes of contributing to our online encyclopedia. I hope that you'll find it helpful. If you have any questions, you are more than welcome to visit my talk page (you can follow the link to me after my "signature") or to ask them at our help desk. We even have one specifically for new contributors, as sometimes contributors find the processes of communication here confusing.
Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:06, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
