Patriotic Education is a series of patriotic curriculum in China, and it's one of the basic content in Patriotism Education of the People’s Republic of China. After 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre and the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Communist party needed to enhance public's patriotic aware. As a result, they developed a new "patriotic education" movement that active till now.[2]However, some researchers argue that patriotic education in China was distorted and became the weapon to control people's mind. One of the phenomenons is the political textbook indicates that "patriotism" means not only love your country but also loyal to the leadership of the Communist party. Related resources:[3]
Basic Content

As states in the preface of Constitution of the People's Republic of China, the four basic principles is considered as the guiding ideology. The four basic principles contains:
1. Must adhere to the socialist road;
2. Must adhere to the people's democratic dictatorship ;
3. Must adhere to the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party ;
4. Must adhere to Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought .
Such ideologies like Three Represents Theory have been written into Moral textbooks. Those ideologies exist as compulsory exam point of Senior Secondary School Entrance Examination，Ordinary Higher Education Enrollment National Examination and Chinese Graduate Entrance Examination . Some scholars believe that "Patriotism in China equal to loyal to the Chinese Communist Party". [6]

Implementation Measures for "Patriotism Education Activities"
1.Education system
Ministry of Education declared that "the spirit of patriotism should be implement into the curriculum standards, teaching materials and examinations of moral education, language, history, geography, sports, art and so on, which are included in the practice of education and teaching."[8]
2.New Network Media
As the new media network developing, Ministry of Education recently issued a document requiring all levels of schools to carry out patriotic education, focus on the use of microblogging, WeChat and other new media network, innovation patriotism education and ways to vividly spread patriotism spirit.[9]
