Olayinka 'Yinka' Lewis is a lecturer in the Law School and an English qualified solicitor.[1]

Olayinka holds an LLB (Hons) degree and an LLM in Oil and Gas Law. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Olayinka is in the final year of his part-time PhD program at the University of Aberdeen. Olayinka’s PhD focuses on the conflicts associated with land and mineral ownership in multi-legal systems.

Olayinka is qualified to practice as a solicitor in 2 jurisdictions. He joined the Law School as a full-time lecturer 2014. Before joining the Law School, ‘Yinka worked as a solicitor for a number of years within the UK and abroad in various areas of law including; petroleum law, commercial law, civil litigation, family law and immigration and nationality law. He also worked in the non-profit sector for a major international organisation.
