Village Hidden in the Mind
The Village Hidden in the Mind, or Kokorogakure, is a place of legends and myths. It is said that those who discover the village, though very few, have to obtain masterful mental discipline, and the deepest understanding of the true nature behind the mind and spirit. Most of the time, people who find the village do so on accident, at least for their first visit. It has been theorized by many monks that in order to reach the Village Hidden in the Mind, one must be capable of traveling between the realms of the living and the dead.
A place nicknamed Shinokai, otherwise known as the Land of Spirits, is rumored to be a dimension that exists parallel to the normal living world. Shinokai is a flat plane of existence with a domed and misty sky. There is no sun but there is day, there is no moon but there is night. In this parallel realm, legend tells of a vast and dense forest filled with tall pines, and mythical beasts that roam the forests. Some of the beasts are said to be so vicious and cruel that they could kill you with a single glare.
Shinokai is home to the Village Hidden in the Mind, and it's people are praised in many myths and tales as being the most cunning and powerful ninja to ever live. Of the most powerful are the Four Mythical Ninja, the Yonnin, who are believed to be hand picked by the Kibokage of the village.
