TRS. Muthukumaar
editThalikottai Raju Thevar Sakthivel Muthukumaar, better known as T.R.S. Muthukumaar is an Indian entrepreneur, educationalist, industrialist and is currently the CEO of King's College of Engineering and the Managing Director of Shakti Group of Companies.
Early Life
editTRS. Muthukumaar was born on May 1, 1980 in the village of Thalikottai, Thiruvarur District in Tamil Nadu. He lost his father at the age of II and was taken under the wing of his father's brother, T.R. Baalu. Muthukumaar's grandfather, Raju Thevar was a renowned Silambam fencer.
Education
editTRS. Muthukumaar graduated from The Presidency College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and proceeded to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in Process and Operations Management.
Career
editIn December 2002, TRS. Muthukumaar was appointed CEO of King's College of Engineering (KCE). He has been credited with introducing a centralized academic calendar and with the issuance of various hi-annual magazines such as the Kings Times, R7D News Bulletin and Sangamam. By 2011, TRS. Muthukumaar had been appointed a Trustee of the Raj Educational Trust that the College was established under. KCE was accredited with a B Grade for a period of five years by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2016.
In 2007, TRS. Muthukumaar helmed the proprietorship for Shakti Group of Companies which has since grown into multiple offshoots such as Sakthi Power Solution Pvt. Ltd. The company has served entities such as Renault-Nissan, Bharat Benz, HCL with a network observed in a few South-East Asian countries and UAE.
Film Production
editTRS. Muthukumaar executively produced a Malayalam film titled "Eeda" directed by B.Ajithkumar, starring Shane Nigam and Nimisha Sajayan. The film was released in February 2018.
