Kalas(Kailash) was a small village on a high mound in presentely located in Taranagar,Dist.Churu (Raj.)In 1685 AD, this region came under the princely state of Bikaner. The descendants of Uncle (Kaka Shri) Kandal Dev Ji of Rao Bika who had established his suzerainty at Sahwa at that time settled here after a few years made this place their destination. Some of their descendants in Reni (Taranagar) Kotdi of Kandhals their place of residence, Kalas was previousely under Kandhal's while some settled in other villages such as Sarayan and other places. In 1925 AD, three villages were found by Chouhan Jagirdar Lal Singh's great-grandson and Roop Singh, son of Sonal Singh (Kalaas (Kailash), Madas (Madavas), Aujaria) as Thikane. His old Thikana was Ratanpura (Sangaria), had to leave due to disputes and Roop Singh had to spend 6 months in jail during the reign of Maharaja Ganga Singh. Before that he lived in a place called Daniyasar (Pallu). Their's ancestors came from Etawah (Mainpuri) to Udaipur, Ajmer, etc. and settled here.
