Yvain
editI'm rather new to the wikipedia scene, and have only written a couple of short articles about obscure industrial and neo-folk bands.
But as I use wikipedia quite a bit, I've taken to editing pages (mainly to fix spelling and grammatical errors). I've also started commenting about the content in various discussion pages.
As to me..
I'm work in IT, though I do my damnedest to not read about that when I am not at work. I've also got a background in philosophy and religious studies (ie. the academic study of religion).
My interests are:
- science (mainly phyisics and astronomy)
- ethics
- philosophy - increasingly from a continental perspective
- theology - but increasingly as it relates to continental philosophy and ethics
- politics and the political
- religion - the main topics of interest tend to cluster around Judaism, christianity, Islam, but I'm interested in the phenomenon of religion generally.
- music - generally of a more 'alternative' or experimental variety.
I'd say that I've become somewhat of a wikipedia junky - if for no other reason than it is always there for me to mine when insomnia strikes.
Wikipedia is my insomnia-buddy!
