Patiences...lots of ruby needs time to load. This page (hopefully) will and can be a collection of Chinese tongue-twisters and other interesting tidbits. From experience teaching Chinese, i know that having pinyin right above the character helps alot (not just beginners either :P). Whichs is why i am going to be using Ruby notation here.

Shoulder Pole and Benches

Four is Four, Ten is Ten

Note: 谁 is actually pronounced as shuí, like 谁(shuí), but in this tongue-twister is pronounced 谁(sheí)...just because :P

四(sì)是(shì)四(sì)，

Four is four

十(shí)是(shì)十(shí)，

Ten is ten

十(shí)四(sì)是(shì)十(shí)四(sì)，

Fourteen is fourteen

四(sì)十(shí)是(shì)四(sì)十(shí)。

Forty is forty

要(yào)是(shì)谁(sheí)把(bǎ)十(shí)四(sì)说(shuō)成(chéng)实(shí)事(shì)，就(jìu)打(dǎ)谁(sheí)十(shí)四(sì)。

If anyone says fourteen as "shí shì", they should be hit fourteen times.
