Dmitry Volkov Russian: Дмитрий Борисович Волков is a businessman, investor, philosophist, contemporary art actor and philanthropist.
In 1998, he co-founded Social Discovery Ventures[1][2] holding and has invested in more than 50 technology projects, including TripTogether, Dating.com online dating service, and Shocase and Streetlife social networks.
Tretyakov Gallery Friends Society personal member. Tretyakov Gallery Support Foundation Stewardship Council member[3]. Co-founder of the Moscow Center for Consciousness Studies.

editVolkov graduated from the Faculty of History (1998) and Faculty of Philosophy (2006) at Moscow State University. He holds an Executive MBA from Skolkovo Moscow School of Management.

editDmitry's interests are in aviation, heli-skiing and piano playing.
He enjoys stratospheric and aerobatic flights in sports planes and fighters, ski trips and playing with a jazz trio.
Among his projects are LoftMusis, special lectures and a mini concert hall featuring interesting personalities, including well-known artists, philosophers and collectors.
Artistic activities
editVolkov has repeatedly turned his attention to the world of art in various capacities: as a patron of the arts, as a performer and as an actionist. In particular, he has danced in a musical on Broadway and double-starred in films.
In the spring of 2015 he supported the release of a series of albums entitled "Contemporary Art", dedicated to the works of contemporary Russian artists and their role in the development of national and global culture .
Together with actionist and artist Oleg Kulik, he performed in a series of artistic events in the spring of 2015 - "A rigorous proof of the existence of the external world". In the summer of 2015, Volkov organized an expedition by Social Discovery Ventures employees and media representatives to the Burning Man festival, where he presented his latest project with Oleg Kulik - the "Orakultang" installation [10].
