OK, let's go bit by bit:

1 - intro, it's past stuff first and current one later OK (so, "...is a former footballer and a manager...")? 2 - he was not a stopper and neither was Albert Ferrer. What happens is that Cruyff was crazy (not meaning it as an insult) and he often played with two defenders, but the stoppers in that team were the likes of Miguel Ángel Nadal, Nando, not tiny guys like Sergi or Ferrer.

What you could do is add a reference in storyline while mentioning he played rarely in a two-man defence. Please leave article currently (before your source) as it is, to avoid edit wars that might get us both in trouble.

• Can we please (please, PLEASE) reach a compromise? No it's not "bad English" as you said in one of your summaries, it's just a different approach, one i have tried in hundreds of articles without any problems and/or reversion; plus, in my version, no need to say "football"/"footballer" more than once.

• Per your last message, in the meantime reverted by yourself: of course i disagree with the wording (i avoid including "current" and other recentisms in the intro), and never had any problems with my preferred version(s) until now (would very much like to know, without any know-it-all approach, where's the grammatical error in a sentence like "Sergi Barjuán Esclusa (born 28 December 1971), known simply as Sergi, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a left back, and a manager (or "and the manager of X club").". Of course, not going to create an edit war over this, sorry for any inconvenience.

• Very good and complete reasoning (i.e. Maradona being much more as a player than a manager, his intro should reflect that), but i beg to differ kind fellow user, to me intros on current coaches/former players should ALWAYS be written in the same fashion (Mourinho, Cruyff, Maradona, the lot, the only difference must reside on whether the subject is alive or not). Your opinion is different, but we are always respectful to each other and interact as we should, peacefully.

I reinstated him playing for Juventus in intro (and much much more, also his coaching career), but without the "giants" and the ref (that, i repeat, in storyline proper, i profit from this to tell you that intros do not necessarily have to be ref'd), and improved/matched display of all sources (adding brand new one for his actual signing for Madrid). You will certainly agree with 99,9999999999999% of the changes/adjustments thus, can you be a sport and compromise with me in the player/manager part of intro please?

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Greece. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
