  Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Hurbanovo did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. I haven’t said Mediterranean

edit

I haven’t said it has a Mediterranean climate! But a Mediterranean influence of summers drier than winters!

in a usual humid subtropical, the summers are wetter than winter! דולב חולב (talk) 16:48, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ok

edit

Ok but i wanna emphasize how severely dry the winter is, and how wet the summers are! דולב חולב (talk) 00:34, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes…

edit

Yes… it’s true that continental climate categorize with at least one month with an average temperature below 0….

but overall the climate is continental!

you cannot say that if some city’s winters became less gold than now the city is subtropical like Atlanta and São paolo.

it’s not a perfect science! דולב חולב (talk) 00:39, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

What do you mean by "Overall" continental? according to that data it will be temperate not continental.PAper GOL (talk) 20:31, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Semi-arid

edit

Hi.

I saw your edits and found out that you don't know how Semi-arid climate is classified in Climate classification schemes. There is no strict threshold for precipitation for such classifications, temperature and wet/dry seasons should also be taken into account.

One example is Jaipur in India which has over 400mm of rain but is still not humid because it has hot temperatures for most of the year and this increases evaporation over precipitation.PAper GOL (talk) 20:39, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I absolutely understand the evaporation section, but 300mm can never be enough for continental climate. It has to have it least 400mm דולב חולב (talk) 23:22, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Maybe in some classification schemes it is. But in Köppen climate classification and the papers published for it there is no such limit. Instead a formula was given(as stated in Semi-arid climate which is referenced).
A location like Astana, Erzurum or Hamadan can be considered semi-arid in a general view (or regarding their biome), but in a formulated climate classification scheme we cannot be sure about it, calculations are necessary.PAper GOL (talk) 06:44, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Worldwide classifications are broad, Putting all of Earth’s landmasses into 5 main zones definitely causes issues about locations which have local features.
Koppen’s Dfb subtype covers dry locations like Astana and Erzurum as well very wet places like Kushiro and Quebec City. These locations have several differences regarding vegetation, but since the drier locations did not make the cut for the B group classification(for not being dry enough), they were put into Dfb subtype. Reliable sources agree on that despite all issues.PAper GOL (talk) 07:19, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I’m telling you, nowadays, Astana is for sure cold semi arid דולב חולב (talk) 16:05, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then you can go and find sources for it. See Wikipedia:Citing sources if you wanna know how to cite sources.PAper GOL (talk) 06:07, 20 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Raleigh, North Carolina, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 4 seasons. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

  Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Angel Fire, New Mexico are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Ok… and can I have an explanation about what’s the problem about what I wrote? דולב חולב (talk) 00:16, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Your post to Talk:Far-right politics, I also find another post of yours nonsense: "Does Wikipedia is a totalitarian body, which heavily limits free speech?". Doug Weller talk 07:22, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Note also that when you return you are still blocked from topics in the Arab-Israeli conflict area. Doug Weller talk 07:23, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
And about the Arab - Israeli conflict page, rape and sexual violence, committed by The IDF towards Gaza’s women has never been proven so it’s a disinformation again. דולב חולב (talk) 18:18, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
First of all, you cannot say “nonsense” that is highly disrespectful. Second of all, what’s the problem with my post?
Far right ≠ Nazism. Putting an image of Nazi parade on the far right article, is disinformation. דולב חולב (talk) 18:16, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
This sort of post makes me think you are WP:NOTHERE Doug Weller talk 08:13, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
