August 2017

edit

Hello, I'm Marquardtika. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Kevin Newsom, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please see the article's edit history. The article subject contacted Wikipedia asking for his date of birth to be redacted from the article, which it was. We should not restore it without strong sourcing and a talk page consensus to do so. Marquardtika (talk) 15:24, 8 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

United States presidential election, 2016: status column contains sources from states

edit

You reverted my restoration of the stated in the edit summary that "The results are from official report of FEC". That is not so. The sources are from the states themselves.

As for the other statement that "previous US election articles here don't have Status column", well, this one does & has been in the article for over a year. That fits the WP:EDITCONSENSUS policy. Therefore it is my belief that you are out of compliance with that policy with that edit. Such a change would need to be discussed on the talk page first.

Ironically, I was in the process of taking out the redundant word "Official" & the "★★" & changing the "Status" column heading to "Source(s)" when you reverted the edit & I thus had an edit conflict. I would like to take care of the concerns that you have with that & make some formatting changes to the table. Unfortunately, the current policy only allows one reversion per user per day. Would you please revert your reversion so I can make these changes? I would rather work together on improving this article.

Just realized that reverting your revert would be a second revert. Please don't do that. Peaceray (talk) 18:04, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK just saw that you reverted. Thank you! Peaceray (talk) 18:05, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Removed the redundant word "Official" & the unnecessary "★★" & changed the "Status" column heading to "Source(s)". Thank you for your help! Peaceray (talk) 18:11, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

June 2018

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Ryan Bounds, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Marquardtika (talk) 01:46, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

October 2018

Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Jim Mattis. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:02, 14 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
