Cricket infobox paramaters

edit

Hello. Years ago a consensus was arrived at that we would not use n/a in cricket inboxes for 10 wicket hauls. The primary reason for this was, iirc, that 10 wickets have been taken in a one-day match in international associate cricket. So it's possible and it's been done.

I've picked up a few edits from you in the last month or so that have changed the 0 to n/a. By all means feel free to start a discussion about this, but otherwise it's probably a good idea to not do that. I note, for the record, the similarity between you username and this user which was banned years ago after being disruptive in a similar sort of way. That may just be a coincidence of course and you may not be the same people. I may not see a reply to this message, depending on when I log on next. Can I suggest that if you have anything important to say in response to this that you leave a note on my user talk page? Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 11:41, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

10 wickets

edit

I have gone through the cricinfo website and I did not find any instance of a player taking 10 wickets in a limited overs game at any level (Odis, T20IS, List A or Domestic T20S) can you let me know which game are you referring to when you say that a player has taken 10 wickets in an associate game? 042 rahul (talk) 05:09, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

See my talk page. Also, please don't use leading 0s on dates (so, 07 February, for example). That's really not a standard way of writing dates, certainly not in New Zealand. Just 7 February is fine. Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:20, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Column headers in cricket infoboxes

edit

You're making small errors with these. This increases the number of different values for the parameters which makes it much harder to spot vandalism.

For example, you're typing Twenty 20 International instead of Twenty20 International and First Class cricket instead of First-class cricket. Those display the same but make a difference in terms of the number of values we have, which can make it at times impossible to check for vandalism quickly.
