edit Hello, I'm ButterCashier. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ghostbusters (2016 film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ButterCashier (talk) 15:33, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- @ButterCashier: I read the first reference included on the page for the Answer the Call subtitle; what is says is that Answer the Call is the real title of the film, and Ghostbusters was just for marketing. So I did provide a reliable source: it was already there. 103.104.117.205 (talk) 15:49, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for informing me, the revert was a mistake, I apologise about that. ButterCashier (talk) 15:50, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- @ButterCashier: It is okay: do you think a move discussion could be opened up at Talk:Ghostbusters (2016 film) maybe then? Or it could just be moved full-stop? 103.104.117.205 (talk) 16:00, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- I was not aware of the different name as you suggest - if "Ghostbusters: Answer the Call" (with a colon?) is the official title, I think it ought to be used but I had never heard of it referred to as that before now, only as "Ghostbusters" or "Ghostbusters (2016)". But I am not well-read upon the subject - was this title retroactively added or was it always called that? Lots of sources refer to the film simply as "Ghostbusters", like the original. ButterCashier (talk) 16:03, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- @ButterCashier: The initials trailers of the film just used Ghostbusters, which a lot of reviewers used, but the actual film end-titles, promotional posters, home media, and all future promotional material (including the Ghostbusters 101 comic series an IDW Publishing crossover) all said Answer the Call. 103.104.117.205 (talk) 17:20, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- I was unaware of that. Any further discussion about it should take place on the article's talk page, I think. ButterCashier (talk) 17:55, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

editHello, I'm NP83. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! NP83 (talk) 12:47, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. NP83 (talk) 14:53, 9 April 2023 (UTC)

editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Kamala Khan did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 20:07, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Hi 103.104.117.205! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Kamala Khan several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Kamala Khan, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Just want to flag that we've hit the three-revert rule on the subheadings in the article. I don't think the slight rephrasing for clarity we've done is reverting because the subsistence remains but regardless, we should move over to Talk:Kamala Khan to discuss other changes to avoid an edit war.. Sariel Xilo (talk) 20:49, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- How about “the 2019 third volume of the former series revolving around Kamala's death and revival”? That seems sufficiently detail-less to be fitting for the lede, and allow for the mention of her 2023 death to specify it is the second one. 103.104.117.205 (talk) 21:02, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Template:Spider-Verse (franchise). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You have been reverted twice on your additions of links to articles not specific to just the franchise that is covered by the scope of the template. Please hold off on these additions until separate articles of notability exist that could warrant inclusion. Trailblazer101 (talk) 02:36, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 00:23, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

editIf you are using an open proxy or VPN service, you will need to disable it or turn it off in order to edit Wikipedia.
If you believe you are not using an anonymizing proxy, the most likely cause is that another customer using your IP address who was previously assigned this IP address was running an open proxy. You may appeal this block by adding the following text on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is _______. Place any further information here. ~~~~}}
. You must fill in the blank with your IP address for this block to be investigated. Your IP address can be determined here. Alternatively, if you wish to keep your IP address private you can use the Unblock Ticket Request System.
More rarely, your network equipment or that of your service provider may be misconfigured or compromised by malicious software (such as a virus). For more information, see the WikiProject on Open Proxies.
Administrators: The IP block exemption user right should only be applied to allow users to edit using an open or anonymizing proxies in exceptional circumstances, and they should usually be directed to the functionaries team via email. If you intend to give the IPBE user right, a CheckUser needs to take a look at the account. This can be requested most easily at SPI Quick Checkuser Requests. Unblocking an IP or IP range with this template is highly discouraged without at least contacting the blocking administrator.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
