I'm replying here because an IP cannot be pinged. The article Russo-Ukrainian War already exists - it is linked in the opening sentence of the 2022 invasion article. Russia and Ukraine have been in a state of war since February 20th, 2014. The 2022 invasion article is a child article of the broader war article with specific focus on the current action. I do not grasp where you have gathered the impression that Wikipedia (and Wikipedians) are oblivious to the fact that Russia and Ukraine are at war. Mr rnddude (talk) 06:44, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

@Mr rnddude: please do not push Western narratives as facts. Russia has been proxy-helping eastern separatists since February and has annexed Crimea in March of the said year. Ukraine has considered those actions to be a "war", but not the whole world. When two countries have no direct flights, no border crossings and no diplomatic envoys they are not at war with each other. When one country invades another one they become belligerents only if there is resistance. Russia invaded Ukraine in late February 2014 but was only met with resistance on 24 February 2022.
