editHello, and thank you for your recent contribution. While the content of your edit may be true, I have removed it because its depth or nature of detail are not consistent with our objectives as an encyclopedia. I recognize that your edit was made in good faith and hope you will familiarize yourself with what Wikipedia is not so we may collaborate in the future. editHello, I'm Oshwah. An edit you recently made to Internet Assigned Numbers Authority seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:23, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to English-language vowel changes before historic /r/. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. editPlease stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Wotansvolk, you may be blocked from editing. Grayfell (talk) 01:54, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Wotansvolk, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 00:51, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at David Lane (white supremacist), you may be blocked from editing. Grayfell (talk) 20:19, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on David Lane (white supremacist); that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Grayfell (talk) 20:28, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

The issue was already taken to the talk page. He was an anti-American domestic terrorist and while many in the far-right do indeed fly the U.S. flag and promote American Nationalism, David Lane didn't and was one of the few within the White Supremacy movement to promote anti-Americanism and hence the descriptor. The purpose of the descriptor is nationality-related purposes. But David Lane wasn't a sports star or a politician but rather a leading figure in a domestic terrorist group that plotted to overthrow the US government so it appears to just be white-washing on your part and wikipedia's part to label him an "American white separatist" when he was in reality an "anti-American white separatist domestic terrorist". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.219.46.242 (talk) 20:33, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
- Your accusations of whitewashing are ineffective and inappropriate. We are not interested in any of your personal WP:OR, we are only interested in what reliable sources have to say. Starting a talk page discussion if the first step, but you have to follow up on it and respond to build consensus. That's how Wikipedia works. Grayfell (talk) 20:36, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
