Sogwala known as koMumbu omanzi (which means fresh corn) is a place located in the north-west of Gweru in Midlands Zimbabwe under Chief Sogwala know as Mdushula . It is well known for garden irrigation, right around the year. There are several business centres which include Madikane, Mabandla and Maskandi.

editThe major river is Vungu River which is a tributary of the greater Shangani River. Gweru River also passes through here to Shangani River.
