Kyra Phillips photo

The image page clearly indicates that the picture is in the public domain. If you have information that indicates that this is incorrect, please post it here or contact the Wikimedia Foundation at permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Please stop removing the photo until you do one of those two things. Thank you. If you are Phillips or an authorized representative of Phillips and you wish to give us permission to use a different photo which you own the copyright to, please contact permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Please let me know if you have further questions. Gamaliel (talk) 01:17, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I do not believe that the editors of the Kyra Phillips page (Veritas-libertas (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) & 108.244.138.25 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) ) are acting in good faith. If there is a true claim about a public domain photo, then they should prove it. Instead they are simply editing like crazy & arbitrarily threatening legal action. I have elevated this to the administrator's noticeboard. --SpyMagician (talk) 02:36, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

This photo was taken at a private event. The T.A.P.S. Honor Guard ceremony in Washington, DC. The event is to raise money for the families of fallen heroes. This photo has not been authorized by Ms. Phillips for publication. Ms. Phillips representatives will be happy to provide a cleared photo for use on her Wikipedia page. In the meantime, we respectfully request that SpyMagician - whomever he may be - cease and desist from violating Ms. Phillips privacy.
Ridiculous. Please read the very clear instructions given by Gamaliel regarding how to go about this. I am not an admin. Simply an editor. Other admins have been notified. --SpyMagician (talk) 02:48, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Gamaliel (talk) 03:35, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
