Security issues
editBit.ly has been reported on some tech forums as being dangerous for a few reasons, such as obscuring the real origins or server locations of email malware (phishing attacks etc). Why is there no discussion of the security risks of using shortened URLs, or any URL-obscuring schemes? This whole article at present reads almost like an advertisement for the company.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
