  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Uddhav Thackeray. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Do not change the WP:COMMONNAME of the subjects. The change can only reflect if the article is moved following an RfC at the relevant talk pages. And are you blocked User:Scainder? You editing area seem similar. Also "Bal" here is the given name of the subject's father and the subject's middle name, not their surname. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:08, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have mentioned reason for the name usage. They are not unconstructive edits. His official formal name is Balasaheb, Bal is his informal name used by his close associates. Please hear his son's or senior party leader's speeched, they always address him as Balasaheb. As it's inappropriate to call such big person by informal name. 117.233.73.20 (talk) 18:13, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
also I'm not scainder or whatever you mentioned. 117.233.73.20 (talk) 18:14, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Using a 'saheb' as an honorific suffix is common in India. Besides the article name/WP:COMMONNAME is Bal Thackeray, which should be followed in all articles. As I said, you you want changes, request a move RfC at the talk page of Bal Thackeray article. Do not unilaterally modify content. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:20, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Uddhav Thackeray. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Favonian (talk) 18:22, 11 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
