Not true, I am not trying to promote anything rather than educating people on the old network, I get no gain of people calling into the switch me and a few of my friends run,
And For your information, it is not a PBX, And NPSTN is peer-to-peer there is no central "PBX" As you speak of, I suggest you do your research before citing any claims.
To make you happy I extended the description and included a citation needed tag.
It is actually a #1DSS-SCE Switch (A Fully custom designed Switch that supports many..many types of Analog and Digital circuits)
This switch in particuler is a test switch but the actual #1DSS-1FR Switch will replace it.
We are a real phone company in the state of Montana with CLEC Paperwork underway but we registered for a DBA.
Therefore it is a "legacy switch" Because it using MF Signalling makes it Legacy. The Dial Pulse and old ringback THAT is an NPSTN Switch a subscriber Chaz Antonelli maintains.
But the MF Signalling and Call Setup/Teardown are all managed by Mountain Pacific Telephone Co. And the switch managing that is 1DSS.
