Articles I Could Select

edit
  1. The article " Maota Lake " can be selected as it is classified as a stub article. It is about a lake in India that is a tourist attraction which adds to its notability. There are some websites dedicated to travel that could be good sources for this article. As the subject matter is a lake, there isn't really much controversy associated with it and so it shouldn't be too difficult to remain neutral when editing/writing sections for this article.
  2. The article " English Schools Foundation " can be a good candidate for selection. I went to a high school that was managed by this organisation and so I have some first hand experience to the subject matter.(Which could help me when looking for sources.) The subject matter is notable as it is one of largest educational organisations of its kind in Hong Kong. There are many news articles and official documents released by the schools that could serve as accurate sources. There would be interest in this subject matter as there was a scandal with lead being found in water in Hong Kong and a couple schools run by ESF had high amounts of lead being positively tested in their water supplies. This has not been included in the article and I could do some research and write a section on that.
  3. This article " Patrik Auda " about the Czech basketball player could also be picked. It is notable because the subject matter is someone who is in professional basketball and so there would be fans who would be interested in reading more about him. Upon a quick google search, I found a lot of different sports websites that have information on him. It shouldn't really be too hard to keep from being biased in favor or against him as I did not previously know of his existence(as I'm neither Czech nor a basketball fan).

Update: I think the English Schools Foundation article is the article I would select, as it has some elements that I could expand on such as the recent controversies. I could also integrate the list of schools and information on them onto the page. I was considering doing Bucknell after giving feedback to a classmate in which I came up to a lot of things she could do to improve the article, but I think she might choose that article, so I guess I'll settle for the ESF article.

Thoughts on articles

edit

I think it's safe to say that I'd like to eliminate Maota Lake from my list as there aren't that many sources on it. I would do the ESF article or the basketball player one as they both have space for expansion. Another article that have entered my radar is the one for Bucknell. It was on someone else's selection but I don't think she is going to choose it, if she doesn't, I might go for it as I see quite a lot of missing information on the page.
