this article does not make sense, in the early life section it states that dan enlisted in the us army at the age of 21; if he was born in 1815, as the article states that would make the year 1836. However later in the article under the Career section the article states, "After receiving his discharge from the army on July 8, 1835, Emmett joined a Cincinnati circus...", how can he get a discharge in 1835, when earlier the article was stating at age 21 (year 1836) he was enlisting in the army?... These dates need to be looked at...
