Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Bde Maka Ska, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. It is the former name. Please stop edit warring. oncamera(t) 21:09, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Bde Maka Ska. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The talk page discusses how it is the former name. Do not go against the WP:consensus on Wikipedia. oncamera(t) 21:15, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Bde Maka Ska, you may be blocked from editing. There is no deal on the talk page to suppose your changes. Either start a new discussion and refrain from your disruptive editing. The official name is Bde Maka Ska. oncamera(t) 21:21, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Bde Maka Ska. It is the former name, which is noted in the lead. It is confusing to readers if it says "also". If residents continue to use the former name, that can be mentioned in a section beneath, such as the Name section. Again, it does not go in the lead oncamera(t) 21:28, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

My edits are not disruptive! And yes, there was a deal. You can see it clear as day on the talk page. "also known as" is the only correct phrasing.

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 22:09, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

I refer you to this passage from the TALK page: In time, if the old name falls out of usage, we can edit the page's lede again to read "Bde Maka Ska (formerly known as Lake Calhoun)...". Erasing history is absolutely not what Wikipedia is about, nor is clinging to it in the face of change. —Collint c 16:19, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

"ALSO KNOWN AS" is the correct and accepted form!
