References
editThe references are used throughout the article and your deletion messes up the whole article. As you can see a bot had to intervene to save the references that you deleted. Squash Racket (talk) 18:45, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the bot was faster than me in repairing the references. I'll restore the bot's version now. --20% 18:54, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- You deleted all 11 references and everything about his nationality. Squash Racket (talk) 18:55, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- If there is a dispute (see talk page) about the nationality, it's not a big shock to have multiple references to support the different POVs.
- BTW, take this to the article talk page, this belongs there, not on personal talk pages. Squash Racket (talk) 19:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- He was born in Upper Hungary. That should suffice imho, but I'm open to the idea of using one (1) reference each for Hungarian and Slovak. --20% 18:59, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi
editHi mate,
Just wanted to let you know I'd left a couple of responses/questions for you over at the Srpska Republika page. Be keen to get your thoughts, when you have time. Also I just wanted to say I admire what I've seen of your contributions (just perusing the talk page there) -- it is such a shame that so many Balkan-related articles are so dominated by blatant ethnic-POV pushers.
Also, I asked whether you were a native Serbo-Croat speaker -- but it appears you are German? Man, you Europeans are impressive with your linguistic abilities! (I'm a New Zealander/American/Canadian of Anglo descent -- very monolingual societies, apart from some French spoken in Canada). Somewhat randomly, ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch, aber..not very much! ;-) Cheers Jonathanmills (talk) 15:06, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- You're very kind, thanks. I can only return the compliment. Yes, I'm German, and one of those Balkan aficionados at de:, among other things. Picking up other languages is easier when you live within striking distance of linguistic borders, so that's nothing to impress with ;-) But you're doing fine.
- As to POV pushers, hm, I'd like to see more, well, unbiased East Europeans (not just ex-Yugoslavs) in both de: and en:, but they mostly seem to stick to their native language versions and let the diasporids and exiles do the job here. More's the pity. So perhaps I'm going to help out a little when I'm too lazy to write anything serious in de: ;-) Cheers --20% 21:03, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Rollback
editI have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton | Talk 22:33, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, that was quick. Thanks a lot. --20% 22:34, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
