editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Thomas & Friends: Journey Beyond Sodor does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. If you're going to make changes to (longstanding) existing dates, you need to at minimum explain why in the edit summary, and preferably provide a reliable/verifiable source. ButlerBlog (talk) 23:00, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Thomas & Friends (series 8), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 16:47, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Thomas & Friends: Journey Beyond Sodor, you may be blocked from editing. If you're going to remove content, you at minimum need a valid edit summary explaining it, or (better) discuss it on the article talk page. ButlerBlog (talk) 00:54, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Sinkin' in the Bathtub. The cited source specifically supports that date you removed. If you're going to remove content that is cited, you need to (1) validate the information with the source, (2) explain your reason for removal and/or discuss on the article talk page. editPlease stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Magitroopa (talk) 19:17, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
