Per this skeptics question/answer it appears the sources used to claim that Florida had death rates equal or better then the national average lack credibility, with undisclosed methodology and two out of three of them from potentially biased sources. By contrast there are links in the original question demonstrating that to date Florida's Covid death toll appears to be noticeable worse then the national average. It seems like the two statements cited in the question should be looked at and potentially either removed, updated with more trustworthy sources, or at least include counter evidence that may oppose those claims.
