Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, 2409:4040:E0A:A9B9:7735:6B55:3DE3:A317. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page The Bombay Tribune, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 18:09, 21 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

haven't you already been blocked?

If you are Wildauteur trying to evade a block, Wikipedia could create a rangeblock against IPs in your area, preventing good faith editors in India from contributing. If you are editing Wikipedia solely to promote a subject, then please understand this violates Wikipedia's Terms of Use. If neither of these things are true, then you can disregard this message. If both of my accusations are true, you should leave Wikipedia permanently. Chris Troutman (talk) 18:13, 21 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
