Dear M. Bitton
There is a serious attribution error in this paragraph, since what Robert Irwin did in his book is RESUME the HYPOTHESIS written by Juan Carlos Ruiz Souza in 2001, three years before his book. The idea that the palace of the lions could be a madrasa IS Ruiz Souza's AND NOT IRWIN'S. THIS IS A SERIOUS ERROR THAT MUST BE CORRECTED. I HAVE PROVIDED THE CORRESPONDING REFERENCES: Ruiz Souza, Juan Carlos (2001): “El Palacio de los Leones de la Alhambra: ¿Madrasa, zāwiya y tumba de Muḥammad V? Estudio para un debate”, Al-Qanṭara, 22 (1), pp. 77-120.https://al-qantara.revistas.csic.es/index.php/al-qantara/article/view/227/220
