I have a developmental disability that makes it very difficult for me to communicate with neurotypicals and to read the jargon-y, acronym-filled Policy pages. The stigma is one reason I do not make an account traceable to my real identity. Please never assume I am being "intentionally" difficult just because I don't understand something. Accusations to that affect are a major trauma trigger for me, and very derogatory/discriminatory for developmentally disabled people. Please be sensitive to the fact that I have a disability and a traumatic history of being verbally abused offline and online because of it. When I can't understand neurotypicals it's already painful enough without being personally attacked over something I was born with and can't change. Please do not accuse me of lying either.
Please don't communicate to me with the templates, they are so generic that I can't understand them and they feel callous to me. If you use generic templates I can't tell you apart from a bot. If I break a Policy by mistake, please gently tell me the specific way my specific edit broke the rules and please refer to the specific rules by name (hyperlinked) instead of the confusing acronyms and jargon. If I still don't understand, please try politely clarifying, without ambiguity or 3rd-person pronouns.
If I try to cite my sources and mess up the citation markup, please just fix the markup and leave a polite note here telling me the markup was incorrect, with a link to the fixed article/section, so I can look and see what the correct markup looks like. I'm trying to learn correct Wiki markup and so far I'm still really bad at it. 2601:441:4400:1740:4D2B:99C:AD88:DEF1 (talk) 23:29, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
