I would very much appreciate any help anyone might offer in improving the page in question. This whole back-and-forth was apparently ignited when I innocuously attempted to add a citation link to the TV Academy's web page, replacing an obsolete link to IMDB. I have read the COI page and feel confident the proposed edit was in the interest of clarity, not promotion. Thanks for everyone's patience... Wow, I guess this is all born of an innocent misunderstanding. You see, I didn't know at the time that IMDB pages were no longer appropriate sources for Wikipedia.
