Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page The Time (Bros album) has been reverted.
Your edit here to The Time (Bros album) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.discogs.com/artist/81613-Bros) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 09:07, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

Your recent editing history at The Time (Bros album) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like you to assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not do on The Time (Bros album). Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Discuss with sjo on the talk page, don't argue by editing and reverting NZFC(talk)(cont) 10:30, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Now all that is out of the way, you appear to have a source. What is the name of the magazine, what edition is it, what number/date and page is that article all on. If you can find that, then I am happy to help you source it. NZFC(talk)(cont) 10:33, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

bros the time Art music publication sept 1990 issue 15

edit

Hi guys i have been some intimadated by fellow edit SJO they seem to be long time editor who have no background knowledge on this particular band, for example the editor not from the UK so have no access to certain publication, they seem to have two agenda

1- sjo has made over 105 complaints against members who try to edit bros pages using the allegation sockpupptry, they undo edits with out providing any source to disprove there claims even though under wiki edit policy a editor must not undo edit without providing a valid source to disprove a previous edit.

2- sjo uses blog, unsourced content, fan websites, discogs to make edit but wont allow another member to do the same, my concern is this practice fair, so i looked in to wiki WP.RS policy, it states that any physical magazine, publication can be used if the article was published, for example a pop magazine like smash hits, can be used and has been used by SJO in their edit of critical reception on the album bros the time, the reference link however does not go to the article but to wiki page on the magazine smash hits. So whats is the difference between using smash hits as a source and ART MUSIC Magazine as source, my response to that is nothing both magazines are valid source information

so in relation to my edit bros sold over million copies of the time worldwide, I provided 4 sources

So can some one assist kindest regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:3136:4500:ED89:CF30:324A:32D (talk)

First a few things when editing here, please assume good faith when dealing with other editors, don't start accusing others from their editing. Next, we use Bold, revert, discuss when editing. So you made an edit, it was reverted. The next step was to take it to the talk page to discuss. By constantly reverting the edits, you risked getting yourself banned. If you took it to the talk page and an agreement couldn't be reached, you then could use third party to get an uninvolved editor to look at it, as Wikipedia uses consensus not voting to decide. Also just because the other editor may use what you consider unsourced or unreliable content, doesn't mean you can as well. I will go back over the page when I have more time and have a look at other edits and sources there.
Lastly, as I said above, it appears you have a source to the information however pictures of it aren't allow. What page number is it and is the publication called Art Music? Lastly, I'm editing from New Zealand, just because I'm not in the country of the band, doesn't mean I can't add information either. Hopefully that helps, if we can track down the source then happy for the information to be added. NZFC(talk)(cont) 11:03, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please sign your posts using four ~. No I get you are a fan and know information to be true, however just because you know it to be true doesn't mean it can be added to Wikipedia. Lastly, I think it needs to be discussed if the publications are actually reliable sources. If it is a fan mag, then it can be questionable since it won't have had editorial oversight like newspapers have. To discuss if they are reliable as you think they are, then you can take it to the noticeboard for oversight. NZFC(talk)(cont) 11:29, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
