Notability of TheJackShowz

edit

A tag has been placed on TheJackShowz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Please stop. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, such as TheJackShowz, you will be blocked from editing. Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 14:13, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Caged Fran

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Caged Fran, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of The Caged Fran. License tagging for File:YoungbloodHawkeWeComeRunningSingleCover.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:YoungbloodHawkeWeComeRunningSingleCover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.   Thanks for uploading File:YoungbloodHawkeWeComeRunningSingleCover.jpg. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Genre warring

edit

Your edit history shows that you've been genre warring recently at Wikipedia. Considering the templated warnings you've received in the past, you should know by now not to add unsourced content to articles, as it contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, as you did here at Fortune (album), you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Dan56 (talk) 04:08, 14 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Subjective descriptions such as genres should be attributed to the interpretations of notable individuals in the relevant field of scholarship, i.e. music journalists/critics. Retail sites such as iTunes present a conflict of interest with the product they are selling (the subject of the article) and are questionable sources. Please review the guidelines at WP:RS to learn more about identifying reliable sources. As I said before, the genres listed at Fortune (album) are based on what is attributed in the article's critical reception section. Dan56 (talk) 19:05, 14 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Pitbull feat. Ke$ha - Timber.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Pitbull feat. Ke$ha - Timber.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Bloonstdfan360 / talk / contribs 01:12, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Generally, one should think twice about accusing administrators of disruptive editing in an edit summary. I've removed this material multiple times with a perfectly valid edit summary. Another editor has removed it for pretty much the same reason. Find legitimate sources or stop putting the material in.—Kww(talk) 16:59, 12 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
