Thyroid
editOn my talk page, you said: Can you explain what the relevance of MOS:SECTION is to your revert? That is the specified way to create anchors to article sections, as described further down on that page and at WP:TARGET.
Your edit within the section title was: "anchor" id="Colloid" and "anchor" id="Lumen"
It's not clear what you were trying to achieve. First, "colloid" and "lumen" are vague terms for a section on microanatomy. Second, if you want to direct a reader's attention to a relevant, strongly related article or subsection, you would use "See also" or "Main" positioned under the title. I don't think the "anchor" tool provides any utility here, and, in my experience, it is so rare I have not seen this in use before. Respond here. Zefr (talk) 00:29, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
- I changed redirects to point to those anchors so readers would be redirected to the specific section describing those things instead of just the top of the article. The benefit of using anchors is redirects to an anchor will always go to the anchor's location in a page, even if moved later. Redirects to a section "break" if the section title is changed and then revert to going to top-of-page. My edit is what's produced by {{subst:anchor|Colloid|Lumen}}. 47.155.41.201 (talk) 01:37, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
- I understand your intent and the redirect formatting, but I still don't see this as logical or important for the common user. Go ahead and re-edit at the thyroid article. Good luck. Zefr (talk) 03:39, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
