École Saint-Joseph
editPlease don't accuse me of vandalism as you did here [1] vandalism on Wikipedia has a very particular meaning and my edits did not come anywhere near being vandalism, I removed blatant promotional trumpery, the article reads like the school prospectus and is totally inappropriate for an encyclopedia. Theroadislong (talk) 13:07, 22 February 2019 (UTC) I understand your focus and I observed that there were non-neutral terms as you pointed out and I just removed them. However, the sections you deleted have nothing to do with 'blatant promotional trumpery' as they concern the 1. Patronage(the Saint)and 2. the regional cultural heritage of the place. These two sections had already been approved by admins and no further edits were made to these before you deleted them. Moreover, in France public AND private schools are subsidized by the government, they do not need advertisements! The article is also important as it provides sociological and historical info on the people of those towns and how they are raised. Thank you for your understanding. ------------ 13:26, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Unsourced or poorly sourced promotional content at École Saint-Joseph
editThe Gastronomy section is blatant promotion and is totally unsourced, the Curriculum section has no sources, the Celebrations section has one source which is their own website, The history section has two sources, the International section has one source again their own website. The Arts and Culture section has one source. Wikipedia articles should draw their content from multiple in-depth and independent sources, if there is unsourced material it can be removed please review Wikipedia:Ownership of content. Theroadislong (talk) 14:51, 22 February 2019 (UTC) You REMOVED Newspapers sources (like in your 15:58 edit) and important information like who is their patron or who were the headmasters and you spent your ENTIRE DAY trying to push for the partial or full deletion of this article which has been up for almost 2 months and was already reviewed, through tags and deletion of entire sections. Do not even pretend you do not have an agenda. Please do not respond as I will not answer anymore after this or even go on wikipedia anymore. I have quickly realised that when certain users who spent years of their life on this site have a target to get rid of regarding a topic they dislike, there is nothing one can do. NOW if you want to alter or delete a page about a school which has been teaching hundreds of individuals annually for 127 YEARS and is one of the most valuable architectural, sociological, religious and educational witness of the last century for its region, I will not be able to prevent you as I do not have hours to lose in counter-arguing you. With regards to the Gastronomy section, it's the only uniqueness of their Curriculum which is the FRENCH NATIONAL one as for all schools that is why it is unsourced, you can easily find thousands national newspapers sources but chose not to!; that is why this uniqueness is pointed out in the article. You have accused this 'gastronomy section' of "blatant promotion" all day long; promotion OF WHAT? OF NON-BRANDED TRADITIONAL MEALS which cannot be purchased? of a STATE-subsidized and regulated school like any other French one? How preposterous! There is nothing to promote, it simply informs on culinary traditions most of the non-French world does not know about. I presume you do not have any tangible or experienced knowledge of the regional dialects, customs and gastronomy of this region that this school has been preserving for 127 YEARS and it is just sad that you are doing everything you can to delete and alter it from readers who do not speak French or know about this culture. ------------ 20:13, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

editThanks for creating The Fighting Cocks.
I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
The article's notability could be improved by providing more citations to significant coverage in reliable sources. Currently the only example of that on the article is the citation to The Guardian
