The Great Father gross

edit

Hi there, re: this, you should seek consensus via discussion on the talk page for the inclusion of The Great Father in the list of Malayalam films at this time, as another editor, Jupitus Smart has expressed concern that the data is coming from the producers. Also, The News Minute doesn't strike me as a sufficient reference per WP:UGC. Who runs it? Who are the editors? What makes them experts in Indian film finances? If your edit is reverted, please do not resubmit the content without first establishing consensus to do so. Note that Wikipedia has no deadline, so if we have to wait a little bit to get believable gross reports from multiple sources, then we should do so. "Commercial failure" and WP:NPOV

edit

Hi there, re: this, please avoid describing things in subjective absolutes. "Failure" is not tone appropriate for an encyclopedia. Neither is "super hit" or "epic flop" or "all-time blockbuster status" or "100 crore club" or any of that crap. Content at Wikipedia must be written from a neutral point of view, not written like a gushing fanboy or a snarky blogger. Additionally, summarising a film as commercially unsuccessful without providing any useful context like its gross, or its budget, etc. doesn't really seem helpful. The encyclopedia prefers objective data over subjective data. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:10, 14 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ghilli gross

edit

Hi there, re: this, where in this reference does it indicate that the gross of Ghilli was 50 crore? I would appreciate an explanation, please. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:06, 2 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi I found the source this reference clearly has the statement "Ghilli was the first film to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in the history of Tamil cinema.". This can be seen in the fourth slide in the slide show of [2] . Thank You, 5ana1234 (talk) 11:09, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
