Hello. I am a designated Wikipedia online volunteer for the Neurobiology (Spring 2014) class in which you have enrolled. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have about how to use or edit Wikipedia. I can be reached by posting at User talk:DESiegel. You could also post any questions at the Help desk, which is a page for anyone with a question about how to edit Wikipedia. DES (talk) 17:09, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Talk page conventions
editHi, 7243HODGSOZ.
It is usual to start a new subject or thread on a talk page, particularly a user talk page, in a new section, as this one is. You can create a section by placing double equals signs around the section header:
== Like this header ==
or you can use the "Start new section" tab at the top of your page. In some display skins this is identified only with a plus sign. See Help:Section and Help:Using talk pages for more detail.
Things like this edit are what I am talking about. DES (talk) 20:40, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
Reference citations in User:7243HODGSOZ/proposal
editIf references are to be displayed using the <ref> tag system, then a {{reflist}} template or a <references> tag must be placed in a section entitled "References" or "Notes" (I favor the latter, as more accurate, but either will do) at the end of the page, after all instances of a <ref> tag. See referencing for beginners and footnote help for more detail. DES (talk) 21:03, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
