Congratulations to another FA, and not a car ;) - Sorry, I meant to review, but am too late. I have a FAC open, in case of interest, BWV 79. - The last three stories were Bach's Mass in B minor (because I heard it), and two women! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:24, 9 August 2025 (UTC)

What advice would you give for anyone (me lol) looking to bring a BLP article to FA? I'm interested in revamping Madonna especially but I would be interested how would you summarize the process of months of your laborious work :) PHShanghai | they/them (talk) 05:00, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- much thanks for the barnstar! With Beyonce I did a full-scale revamp of that the article to make sure it was fully well written and i found SEVERAL grammatical issues along the way. also definitely make sure that you remove all findable cruft (specifically that which can be summarised in another article). make sure the article uses a good number of book/scholarly (The Wikipedia Library has several sources you can use within the article; though Madonna already seems to benefit from book/scholarly sources), and Z1720 was very helpful during the trimming process so you could consider asking him for a trim (if you need to). I largely took inspiration from a lot of already/recently promoted FAs (such as Cher, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, etc) when writing this, and also make sure to take it to peer review and get reviews from at least two people before taking it to FAC. regardless of if this is your first FA nomination or not given the length of the article the reviewers will do a spotcheck so make sure the sources verify what is said. Good luck with Madonna! 750h+ 05:45, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hey, was just wondering which part of the MOS doesn’t allow for mention of a borough in birthplace parameter. New York City is a big place, I think it’s worth mentioning Brooklyn. Also, shouldn’t the state of California be mentioned as well? Every infobox I’ve come across mentions the state. GOAT Bones231012 (talk) 02:36, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- not one biography i can find mentions the borough, the infobox person template says that it's always city, state, country (Omit unnecessary or redundant details. For example, it is not necessary to state: New York City, New York, United States when New York City, U.S. conveys essentially the same information more concisely.. also there's no point of including California link when it links to the same page. 750h+ 02:51, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

Today I remember a singer who impressed me on stage. - Repeating: you are invited to a peer review after FAC, - in a poll, you could simply mark yes or no for the four open questions. It's an experiment. The piece has its 300th anniversary on Christmas Day, and should be as good as possible by then. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:29, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
Thank you today for Aston Martin DB11, "about a gorgeous grand tourer, which is the successor to the Aston Martin DB9—the first FA I made."! - I'd be grateful if you'd look at the above, - some did, but more feedback, especially on the third (sources) question would be welcome. To look into it should take five minutes, - Dr. Blofeld tried it ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:51, 15 November 2025 (UTC)
I have three biographies on the main page today, miss a fourth one, nominated a fifth, that means little time for other matters. If you have ten minutes, you might take a look at the four questions open from my last FAC (see above), and if you have only five minutes, question 3 about a book source would interest me most. My places now include La Scala, - see music, Verdi three times, and twice in my story! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:17, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for support in November! - On St. Cecilia's Day - patron saint of music - I remember a composition by Benjamin Britten, and have a woman on the main page who illustrated songs, with a sense of humour. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:16, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for a thorough review (a role reversal indeed when I realised the errors I had carelessly made in the article). Do you think the article needs another brush before I take it to PR and eventually FAC? I look forward to your response. Cheers. MSincccc (talk) 15:43, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- That’s completely okay, I had a lot of mistakes that you thankfully pointed out at some of my FACs, so I’m very grateful for you. I think it would be safe to take it to PR just in case to get views from 1-2 editors just for safety (and for the fact this would be your first FA). Best, 750h+ 16:04, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your advice. By the way, should I approach those at WT:FAC as far as a mentor is concerned (given that this one was archived, as you know), or do you know someone who could assist me? I look forward to your response. MSincccc (talk) 16:42, 27 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Copying from my sandbox
[edit]Please do not copy from my sandbox without at least telling me. I prefer to fully develop a section before implementing it in mainspace because I might write ideas first, improve it along the way, and then format the references. Thus stuff like the note that I added to "third-person acting" are not well defined or grammatically correct or referenced. Also I find it a bit rude. Poirot09 (talk) 21:17, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for improving article quality in February! - My story today is again about Percy Grainger (FA by Brian Boulton), this time with a video that surprised me. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:01, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
Today's main page features four biographies I helped to bring there, two women and two men, three opera singers (one pictured) and an actor, - a record for me, I believe ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:13, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Congratulations to the promotion below - sorry, I meant to review but was too busy - and the planned TFA in April! Would you have time for a GA review for BWV 43, or - if not - read through for my usual mistakes? It should get into best shape for 300 years in May. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:44, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Hey 750h+! I’d like it if you could just clarify why the information regarding two of the new songs from Madonna’s upcoming studio album is not due for inclusion in the body as I’m admittedly not quite sure why it isn’t. For the sake of transparency, I also reinstated the paragraph at Draft:Upcoming Madonna album. Thanks, Yasslaywikia (talk) 16:35, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

Today is the last day Easter Oratorio is on the main page, - did you know that the article became FA because I was sooo frustrated that neither DYK nor OTD accepted it for Easter last year, the 300th anniversary, and you helpd in the process with the GA review - thank you! I have a FAC open, in case of interest, 300 on 14 May. There's little hope for a TFA that day (something else pending scheduled that is ready and has a 75th anniversary), but I would like it in best shape by then. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:00, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Thank you today especially for Beyoncé, "about one of the most influential musicians in music history—Beyoncé Knowles. You've definitely heard her name—whether it be through her work with Destiny's Child, her 2008 hit "Single Ladies", or through her recent country hit "Texas Hold 'Em", you know who she is. She has become a cultural icon of the 21st century, being cited as a major influence on artists such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Adele."! - Extra praise for rescuing it as GA first! Nice to see that the next TFA for you is already scheduled. - Today is the birthday of two friends with an article, - Listen to a later version of Bach's "Dona nobis pacem" (in the story). I sang it with a choir in the U.S. the day before the Iraq war ultimatum, with that urgency for peace. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:15, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

Beyoncé and Lemonade
[edit]I think I understand your logic. When I first saw the article yesterday, I misread it and understood it to be something Beyoncé was doing. But my source wasn't that clear on exactly what Rockabye Baby! was doing. I'm wondering if this is like the other CDs in the discography (meaning it should be in the table) or if it's something different. So I didn't do anything there, but I think I linked to the correct article. You seemed to think I had and you put the information there, so I'll assume what you did was correct.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:08, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
Hi. Just so you know, I actually agree with your change to "top-ten hits" on Cher. It is more accurate. But after I reverted you, re-reverting instead of opening a talk page discussion isn't great practice (WP:BRD). For a featured article especially, disputed changes need to go through talk. I've left the edit in place. Just keep this in mind for next time. Cherreparator (talk) 17:51, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
Good Faith Reverting
[edit]You don't just revert someone's edits instead of discussing what's wrong and good faith isn't enough reason. Also, those inferences needed citations. Obinna Tony (talk) 11:40, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- What LEADCITE citation says: "Although the presence of citations in the lead is neither required in every article nor prohibited in any article, there is no exception to citation requirements specific to leads."
- And all the citations you reverted and didn't even read are not LEADCITE. Obinna Tony (talk) 11:55, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- There do not need to be sources in the article lead because they are sourced in the body, as per WP:LEADCITE. And a lot of the sources you've added are not WP:HQRS. Please do not add them back. I will assume good faith, but please use better sources when citing what you source next time. 750h+ 12:25, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

Talk:Beyonce auto-archiving
[edit]On June 16 you manually archived talk page content with the edit summary of "Manually archiving talk page as bot has been inactive since 2024". That statement is not quite correct as the Bot was archiving that page up until June 24, 2025. Lowercase sigmabot III has been archiving other talk pages, including actions today (for example, see the bot's recent edits).
There was probably a errant bit of code, like a missing signature on a post or thread, that stopped the bot from running on the Talk:Beyonce page starting sometime on or after June 24, 2025. Since you've now cleared out those 13 threads, it is possible that the code issue has been removed to the Archives and perhaps the Bot will be able to run now. Please refrain from manual archiving for a while and maybe Lowercase sigmabot III will complete a run within the next few weeks. If it doesn't auto-archive sometime in the near future, I'll post over at WP:Village pump (technical) & see if some of the experts over there can tease out what is going wrong. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 02:54, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
A Girl Like Me (Rihanna album)
[edit]Hi 750h+, are you able to change the A Girl Like Me (Rihanna album) page by any chance please? The source for reggae only mentions two songs - “Kisses Don’t Lie” and “Dem Haters” and not the album itself, where as this: [1] calls the album dancehall and R&B, can you change the genre bit to say:
- and change the lead to read: “A Girl Like Me is a pop, dancehall and R&B album influenced by Rihanna's Caribbean roots. The album also incorporates elements of rock, as well as ballads, which music critics were ambivalent towards.”?
Many thanks if you can. ~2026-36197-62 (talk) 12:37, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

Mitski copyediting request
[edit]Hi @750h+, I noticed you've put a lot of work into some mainstream pop musician FAs lately! I was wondering if you would be able to sift through parts of Mitski's article (specifically, just "Early life" and "2012-2017", those are the only two sections I've completed) and let me know if there are any copyediting problems?
I'm trying to get the article to GA/FA and it'd help to have someone experienced scan over it briefly, so I know what to look out for as I work on the rest of the article. I've already spot checked everything for accuracy, just wanna make sure my phrasing is fine. Thanks! Black midi skirt (talk) 23:40, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

Thank you today for Destiny's Child, introduces as "one of the most well known popular music acts and influential girl groups. They helped bring girl groups back to the fore front of pop music at a time when boy bands were dominating and shaped the sound of contemporary R&B within the late '90s and early '00s, especially with their songs "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Say My Name", Independent Women", "Bootylicious", and "Survivor"."! -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:58, 6 July 2026 (UTC)

This article is about the VE Commodore—the first generation of the fourth generation of the Holden Commodore, which is one of the most, if not the most influential automobile produced in Australia. The VE was called Holden's "billion dollar baby" as the company spent over A$1.03 billion developing it."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:14, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
Beyonce
[edit]Hi. I notice you regularly contribute to the Beyoncé article and have done some good work there. I was wondering if it's possible to include a brief mention of her work as a producer?
Throughout her career, she has consistently been praised for her production skills and contributions e.g. https://x.com/Niell_Standard/status/2052214336941174906?s=20
Billboard even ranked her the top female producer of the 21st century: Beyoncé, Mariah Carey Named Top Female Producers
She has many co-production credits on her music, which is testament to how involved she is behind the scenes.
However, her real strength is vocal production. And she is listed as the sole vocal producer on much of her music (even when tracks have multiple writers, producers, or co-producers for music/overall production) e.g. Daddy Lessons, 16 Carriages, TEXAS HOLD ’EM, II Most Wanted etc etc
Beyoncé Shares Full Credits for New Album Cowboy Carter | Pitchfork
I think she is good at vocal production in particular, because of D’Wayne Wiggins. Matthew Knowles said Wiggins "guided Beyoncé in understanding the creative processes of songwriting and vocal production" during their early development." Instagram
Would it also be appropriate to add "producer" to the occupation field in the infobox?
Look forward to your feedback. Many thanks. Koppite1 (talk) 17:11, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry for the lateness, but I think I could add a bit throughout the article. I think to add "producer" to the occupation field would require a talk page discussion throughout Beyonce's related Wikiprojects. 750h+ 07:26, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi 750h+,
There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.
By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
