Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages (including user talk pages) such as Talk:Republican Party (United States) are for discussion related to improving (a) an encyclopedia article in specific ways based on reliable sources or (b) project policies and guidelines. They are not for general discussion about the article topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Much obliged, User:Binksternet. I did post that for the purpose of improving the article, not as a forum post. The title of the section, "Political position: Centre-left and/or left-wing", was meant to go in the box at the top right of the article. Sorry I didn't make that clear. Also, I did indeed use a reliable source: the official party platform, and I also referenced the history of leftism, which is covered in other well-sourced articles.
I am a bit offended that you called me a troll in your edit summary, since a troll attempts to make a fool of others, and I fail to see an aggrieved party in this instance. 76.20.22.126 (talk) 09:38, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
I saw the actions of someone trying to stir the pot, looking to get a reaction. The Republican Party is left wing? Virtually nobody supports that idea. It's nonsense. Binksternet (talk) 15:19, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Since when has beginning a civil discussion on improving an article been "looking to get a reaction"? And since when has the truth value of a statement depended on its popularity? Set aside your own biases and look at the evidence objectively, please. 76.20.22.126 (talk) 09:18, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
